Hobbies: Mixing things with other things to make new things that he has no business making, running away from home, ~~selling drugs to fund his college career.~~

WHAT

Anthony is an skinny, surly little punk who doesn't give two tugs about what he looks like, and it shows. He inherited his father's nose and his mother's bone structure, making for a face like a hatchet topped by a greasy mop of hair, and he gave up any delusions about trying to make himself look pleasant long ago.

WHY

Severus Antonius Snape was born in England to Tobias and Eileen Snape. When he was 8, his mother died from an "accidental" overdose of depression medication, after which his father decided to leave the country with his son. Since then they have lived in Greece, New York and Dallas before the insurance money and Severus's inheritance from his mother's side were used up. Now they're almost penniless again, and have ended up in Middle Area, Pennsylvania.

For his part, Severus, or Anthony as he's been going by since they moved, hates his father, and the feeling is mutual. The man is a selfish, abusive drunk, and Anthony strongly suspects that he drove his mother to commit suicide. Adding insult to injury, Anthony realizes that he's a lot smarter than his father, and utterly disdains the ruin Tobias has made of their finances. His greatest goal right now is to get good enough marks to earn a scholarship once he's graduated, and cut off all contact from his father.
